Welcome to MusicMaster Oldies!
I’ve been feeling guilty for neglecting this for such a long time. In my defense, I’ve been very busy with work. Your hobby should always take a back seat to your profession. But I love my work!
We’re approaching 200,000 songs in the active library now. That includes EVERY song that ever touched any Billboard chart from 1954-1970, the top hits from 1971-1973, the really big hits from 1896-1953, ALL the Canadian chart hits, most of the chart hits from Germany, the UK, Switzerland, and Australia, some of the hits from Brazil, France, Spain, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, and elsewhere, and about an equal number of we like to call “New Oldies.” These are songs that should have been hits, but were never discovered or promoted well enough.
Many of the New Oldies are better than the charted hits from the 50’s and 60’s. You’ll hear undiscovered Garage Rock that was inspired by bands like the Rolling Stones and the Kinks. You’ll hear great unknown Country songs inspired by Hank Williams. You’ll hear sweet “Teeners” that were inspired by young idols like Ricky Nelson. You’ll hear lost Rockabilly music inspired by Elvis Presley. You’ll also hear Bubble Gum, Rock, Easy Listening, Jazz, Folk, Psychedelic, Blues, R&B, even Gospel and Classical music that you’ve never heard before — but you’ll wish you had.
If you think we’re missing some great song from the 50’s and 60’s, or if you had a band back then and you want to know if we’re playing the records you made, just leave a comment. We welcome all suggestions!
